Dear Reader,
Please note that the text of this story, ELIJAH by Jacquelyn Frank, begins on page 7. The first six pages are the teaser copy, the Also By The Author page, the title page, the copyright page and the dedication.

Also on the inside front cover, it lists NOAH as available now. That title will be published in September, 2008.

Sorry for any confusion.

They are called the Demons, one of the elusive Nightwalker races living in shadow and struggling for survival against their human enemies. Their proudest warrior is Elijah, a man who bends for nothing and no one. . .until one woman brings him to his knees. . .

Some Feelings You Just Can't Fight

He is known as the Warrior Captain--a master of every weapon, a fierce soldier sworn to protect his kind. Powerful, relentless, merciless, Elijah has always won every battle he's ever taken on--until now. Ambushed by necromancers, he is left for dead only to be discovered by the woman who could very well deliver the final blow. . .Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen.

With three centuries of warring, little more than a decade of uneasy peace has existed between the Lycanthropes and Elijah's people. Now, after a lifetime of suspicion, the warrior in Elijah is consumed with a different battle--winning Siena's heart by giving her pleasure beyond all boundaries. What starts as attraction and arousal soon burns into a passion with consequences that will echo through the ages for both their people. And as would-be enemies become inseparable lovers, another threat approaches, one with the power to destroy them all. . .

Surrender to the night.
Hi there. It's me! Again. Time to update some more. Trying to keep up with this and realizing I haven't updated this since 2012. (It's 2015 right now) I've expanded my online presence to include Facebook and Twitter, a website a blog and every other bleeping thing there is out there in the cyber world. Was finding it hard to manage all...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from He Is The Wind Beneath Her Fur!!!! A new era is upon them, changing the things that they have known for centuries, and unmasking an evil that could very well destroy them. This is the fate of the Nightwalkers the world of demons, lycanthropes, vampires and all things that are considered mystical and magical. Once a world filled with war, these species are about to get all close and personal with each other. Some laws are being broken but who cares when you are dealing with raw and wild love. Elijah is the warrior captain for his people known as the Butcher to the other Nightwalkers, he is both respected and feared from everyone. Elijah is the wind, he controls the air and weather around. He has always known solitude, and fated to be alone for the rest of his life never finding a mate and just doing what he does best and that is kill. Eli gets caught in a trap, by someone he once knew and respected but his fellow demon has moved on to the dark side and joined that of their most feared enemies the necromancers(black magic users that are evil and uses their powers to summon demons). Who comes to his rescue surprises him and leaves him a little hot below his belt. he once killed her people during the wars can he move above what he has known is entire life and find love in the very species he has come to distrust. There are rules that have been put in order for the demon kind, because they arent allowed to lay with other nightwalkers in plain the dog does not sleep with the cat. Let the trials begin. Siena is Queen of the Lycanthropes in this cases Lycans aren’t just wolves they are considered to be any form. If you can change into a dog you are considered a Lycanthrope ,heh kind of loses all sexy when you think of it in that terms. Well Siena is sexy she is feisty cat a Cougar all sleek muscle and strength but when it comes to her heart its all chocolate and gooey easily melted by the butcher himself. She saves the life of the very man that is considered the enemy by her people, but she cant fight the love she feels for this man who has become apart of her. Selfish reasons keep her from embracing him whole heartedly because there is no way she will share her kingdom with a warrior when she has fought to keep her people from war and moved them into an era of civilization. All that she has worked for is threatened by this thing called love. So the war is close to home, and some of the characters that I have come to love suffers a very close call in death. Elijah and Siena are a perfect match for kicking butts and taking names. They both are strong, stubborn and tough. She rules a monarch and he protects his people, the ultimate fighters and fighting they do. This book was just pure fun and action. I was spellbound by the fight scenes in this one, just great storytelling. Everyone just blends so well together you cant help but pump your fists in victory when they take down a bad guy. The background characters are just awesome, Siena’s sister is female to be reckoned with and I cant wait to read her book next. The third book in this series is just awesomeness. I enjoyed it a lot and steam factor wise it’s a 3.5, but who cares these demons/lycans be on fire anyways. 2010-015

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Wonderful Elijah is the Demon King's Warrior Captain, but during an ambush by Ruth and her follower's he is nearly killed. Siena is the Lycanthrope Queen and she saves Elijah's life. With just the two of them in a cave during his recovery, attraction and arousal between them is something that they know should stay in the cave and not leave with them. Siena wants to fight this attraction with everything she has because she is Queen and wants what is best for her people, but will she succumb to Elijah?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great I must say that Elijah was worth waiting for and then some. He was my favorite character with how he always found the humor in things but yet understood the seriousness of everything. This is my favorite book of the series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Great Before I write another thing, I have to say that Elijah is my favourite "guy" in this series- I don't know if it's his heart, his intellect, his humour or his being a warrior- but he's my favourite. With that said, this being the third installment of the Nightwalkers series, I was a little surprised that it didn't go into a lot of depth about the whole plot of the novels, but the character analyses was really great- you get to feel as though you know the characters personally. I would have to say that the ending is the best part, and that the series would be seriously lacking without this book. I really liked it and I would (and will) read it again! I should add that it was definitely a steamy read hehe :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now I Call That A Great Story! I love how the author writes her stories. Her characters are believable, with emotions that warm as well as cripple. Elijah, a warrior through and through, relentless, merciless , a fierce and strong soldier both in mind and body, doesn't stop for anything. He doesn't like emotion, but can't help what he feels. Running into what seemed like a trap at the time was enough to bruise that enormous ego. But it was also what brought Siera to him. Siera, Lycan Queen, is one heck of a strong woman, in mind and body as well. Emotions she feels clearly, but rules with kindness after the death of her brutal father. She wants to change the feelings of her people towards the Demon kind, to brighten the future. She refuses the want of a mate, not wanting to share her throne with a male who could possibly overthrow her decisions as the head of The Pride. Together, they are unstoppable. They come together with bang and stay that way, LOL! What they feel for each other is fierce, and although Elijah won't fight it, it's trying to get Siera to accept it. She doesn't undertand how Demons can Imprint one another, constantly sharing feelings and thoughts with one another, feeling the other keenly within themselves. She doesn't like the thought of that, and it takes a while to accept it. Other things that come into play that only prove that Elijah is her one true mate, more signs that she doesn't want to believe and fights 'tooth and nail'. Ruth is back, creating havoc among both Demonkind and The Pride, and they will do everything they can to stop her. Together, they band to fight the evil that could destroy them all, and I loved it! The power between the couple, the action, the passion... The reader is sucked into the story, feels everything and sad when it's over. Excellent! I sooo can't wait for her next novel, Damien, to come out at the end of May, or for Noah's in August. This is definitely a series not to miss!
