Rated 4 out of 5 by from Andre and Juliette Copy gifted in return for an honest review** This is a very good, short standalone with an HEA in the Sweetblood World. Juliette and Andre met and had a whirlwind romance in her hometown of San Francisco, but he left suddenly, without a goodby. When she checked with his hotel, she was told he left with his wife. Feeling betrayed, angry and heartbroken, she has had no contact with him since, until her ailing father asks her to personally handle Andre's business account. Juliette travels to New Orleans, thinking she will quickly handle the situation and fly home. But mother nature and rogue vampires have other plans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great short read "Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review" This was a very quick read. I know it says that it is a short story, but this was a really short story it took me just over half an hour to read it, but with that being said it was also a very good book. From the beginning the author has pulls you into the story and keeps you hooked til the very end. It is very well written, and even though it is so short things are well explained and don't leave you wondering what was going on. I loved that Juliette was a strong and moral woman who would not stand for being with a married man. I did not however like that she gave in and forgave Andre so easily after leaving her the way he did. The only problem i really had with the book was that it was so short, too short. I love this series and look forward to reading more from this series and from Laurie London. I definitely recommend this book and this series.
