Rated 4 out of 5 by from . This novel is certainly worth reading, paticulary by women. It basically outlines the life of an orphaned girl who is destined for an unfortunate future and the ways in which fate interferes inorder to give her a new and independent identity. There is, on the other hand, alot of political occurances. They don't dominate the plot but certainly lead it forward.
