Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fan the Flames (Search and Rescue #2) by Katie Ruggle Fan the Flames was a great read. The romance was a lot slower in this one than in the others, and that is saying something since all the books are slow burns. I loved Ian. Rory was a little off putting at times but I warmed to her. Loved all the action and the plot just keeps getting deeper and deeper. I am so glad that after I read George's book I went back and read the others. Really loved George in this book too. I really liked Chris in this book as well. I got to know him a little better. This book made me smile, laugh and you know it has sexy firefighters so Win! Glad I found this series and this author. I can't wait for book 4 to come out!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fan the Flames Holy Smokes! What a story. I couldn`t put this one down from cover to cover. The suspense and danger never stopped while the lives of the characters were absolutely unforgettable. Ruggle develops her tale in a manner that allows readers to experience it, not simply to read about it. The narrative was brilliantly crafted, increasing the tension throughout. The realistic feel of the events made it even better. The sexual tension between the main characters is hot! Hot! Hot! The author built the chemistry and background to a fever pitch before adding the physical relationship. It was perfect. Rory is definitely a unique heroine for this tale. Her life is so atypical. At the same time her sentiments are easy to understand. Readers really get to see how routine oriented Rory is. What can you say about Ian? He’s the perfect hero, without being too perfect. The complex line that he walks adds fuel to the story. My heart broke for him when he finally realized what he lost, but also what he gained from it. This was the perfect second instalment in a series that I definitely can’t wait to read more from! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fan the Flames Ian Walsh is used to riding the line between the good guys and the bad and he’s be in love with Rory Sorenson since they were kids in fact he would do anything for her, die for her, kill for her, defend her to his last breath which he just may have to do in this exhilarating romantic suspense. Everyone knows that if you need a less-than-legal firearm, Rory is the go-to girl and she’s managed to keep the peace between dangerous factions by remaining strictly neutral until she defends herself against a brutal attack and the readers can’t help but become glued to the story as danger and romance heat up the pages. The chemistry between Rory and Ian is definitely enough to heat up the pages on its own but this relationship has a few obstacles that not only captures readers by the heart but enthralls readers with the intricate dance that Ian has to waltz to get close to Rory and overcome her social awkwardness. The characters are strong, compelling and easily related to, while the plot is fast paced and flows smoothly from beginning to end with lots of suspense and romance. The relationship itself is worthy of some anticipation filled tension which keeps draws readers in but when the excitement and suspense is added the story really gets things going as the dangers escalates and the things began to unravel for both of the main characters causing them to have depend on each other because the headless body that was found in book one is causing more than enough mayhem as everyone becomes caught in a deadly web of deception. Rory is quite the character, she provides a refreshingly different personality to the story that guaranteed I wanted to know how things worked out for her as well wanting to get to know her and as for Ian…the opposing sides of his life added spice and just made him sexier.
