Rated 1 out of 5 by from Such a stereotyped role model I am not a fan of Fancy Nancy. I just think that with all the possible models we could present to girls, why present one that focusses on her looks not her behaviour. Meh!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our family favorite I have a 2 year old girl and a 3 1/2 year old boy. We love to read this book together. I love that Fancy Nancy loves frilly dress up but isn't afraid to jump in a mud puddle. I very much like this as a model for my own daughter. You can look pretty and play soccer just like the boys. Can't wait to collect and read all of her stories!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My girls adored this book! An instant hit in my family. At first the art was a little too glittery and cutesy for me, but it has grown on me. Adorable story that hit home with me and my family about a girl who's into fancy, while her parents are into all things plain. She gives them a lesson on the differences.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We all laugh when we read this book! We love it! My husband sat down in a chair at the bookstore and read this book out loud to me, cover to cover, as I browsed the kids' section....we both laughed at every page! It truly captures the colorful and imaginative sprit of our five year old! We recognized many of the antics and will definately collect this whole series! My daughter loves it and insisted on bringing it to school to share with her friends. I think every little girl will love this book! The glittery illustrations are an added bonus....Very FANCY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Little Girls! This book is perfect for all the little girls out there who love dressing up, and pretend play. My 3 yr old is still talking in 'Fancy Nancy' talk, and it's helped me teach her a few French words. I love the colour, the simiplicity and the final lesson at the end. I also love that the parents indulge a spirited girl's whims - something we all need to do once in a while!
