Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Interactive Homework Program Fluency is one of the key indicators of reading success in the primary grades. This reading program consists of a couple of poems that go home each week that the family reads multiple times (to the child, with the child, the child reads). Then, there are activities provided that are for children at a variety of reading levels (beginning to identify letters and words, phonological awareness and phonics activities, and beginning to read activities). I highly recommend this program because it is straight forward, is easy to maintain, and fosters many of the levels of reading we want to promote in the early years. As well, it is straight-forward for parents to use (introduce it at Open House) and has adaptations for ESL families. It's a must buy! P.S. (The poems that were returned to school, I put in a duotang for the children to reread at school).
