Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Poems Old & New An excellent book of poetry which I enjoyed as a child. Vivid and unforgettable entertainment for our own daughter who recently asked me if she could have my copy for her 1-year old daughter.....It seems we can't get her started on poetry soon enough, and know that we will find something age appropriate in this book even for her!

Editorial Reviews

“Among this abundance of funny poems, serious poems, story poems, poetic prose from the Bible, parents will find almost all those they want to share with their children. It makes a fat, generous, attractive book.”—Christian Science Monitor

“If your children don’t like poetry, expose them to this collection . . . and I defy them to resist its magic.”—Kirkus Reviews
