Rated 2 out of 5 by from Where IS Johnny? Although the writing itself was very good, I could not wait for this book to end. A very simplistic plot which was pointless and never did seem to get resolved in my mind. The book actually made me uncomfortable as I was reading it. I think I'll pass on the movie as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Masterful Tale William Trever's short stories are fantastic. This novel is amazing. The writing alone is fantastic. The description, the imagery, the flow of words. He takes great attention to pick the words. If you're a lover of writing then you'll enjoy this book a lot. The story itself is quite intriguing. Trevor keeps his readers on their seats, gripping the book, always wondering and questioning the plot and the themes. It is a fabulous array of suspense. Watch the movie by Atom Egoyan as well!

From Our Editors

Felicia is an Irish country girl who has come to England to look for her jilted lover. Hilditch is a mild-mannered, gentle psychopath who lures the helpless Felicia into his trap. Interestingly, we see the story from each character's eyes when they are separate, but from Hilditch's view when they are together. It is an unusual and effective device that distorts the perspective and adds texture to a classic story. Felicia's Journey is a simple tale told with a subtle complexity.
