about

In this dark, thrilling fairy tale, it is the wolf who saves the girl. Fell, the dark-furred twin brother of Larka, the heroine of The Sight, must face life without his sister or the rest of his loving pack. He’s a lone wolf now, a “kerl,” an outcast from his kind who shares his sister’s fatal gift for seeing the future and the thoughts of others. This gift leads him to befriend a young girl, also an outcast from her people. They have a shared destiny: to free the land from a tyrannical ruler who would enslave man and animal alike.

The prequel to this book, David Clement-Davies’s bestselling animal fantasy The Sight, is set among the wolves of Transylvania. This dark epic thrilled readers and critics alike, who said, “This sprawling, ambitious novel has it all: action, adventure, apocalyptic battles” (Children’s Literature), and called it “rich, complex, and credible” (VOYA) and “full bodied [and] lyrically told” (Booklist, starred review).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful book to match the beautiful cover This book is very different from The Sight, but it's still a good continuation. I really liked Fell, so I was eager to see how he ended up. Clement-Davies is able to create this complicated relationship between Fell and a human without me finding it weird.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Story and squeal! I love the first book called The Sight, and when I finished it was left wanting more. My friend reached out to me and told me of "Fell" and I felt so excited to read it! I was not disappointed! The story in Fell is different from The Sight as it focused more on the relationship between Fell and a human, but the story was nonetheless written beautifully and made me want to keep reading. I love the way the author writes and describes the wold in which the characters are in. The struggles they face, either within themselves or external, give life to the characters. If you've read The Sight you must read Fell!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best book I've ever read! It's hard to put into words what a great author David Clement-Davies is, for his knowledge of wolves and their lives couldn't be more realistic and inspiring. His choice of words are always perfect; something I find hard not to notice for any book. Fell was the best book I've ever read- the type of book that you just can't put down! Its full of action and emotion- a thing in which you don't get from many authors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fell I was very excited to see that another book had been written in the same universe as The Sight, because I loved that book. This was a good read, however not nearly as good as the original. This one was split between wolf and human, whereas in the first one it was all about the wolves. I felt the human element took away from the magic of the story.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A wonder... OMG! Those three words just about sum up all of my feelings about the release of this book. After searching for anything that would live up to my expectations of books about animals, and their relations with humans, I was delighted to find out that Fell was coming out.! Clement-Davies is a genius with these books, and I can't count how many times I have read The Sight, or the Firebringer. All I know is my books are starting to fall apart. Even if you haven't read The Sight, I don't think anyone will have troubles reading Fell. It was just as good as I had thought, though my heart does lean more towards The Sight, and dear Larka. However, with the use of new characters, and some old ones, the book will quickly find a place in your heart! A bright, and brave new girl -so much like Larka- goes on a quest to find herself -again, much like Larka-, and the morals, and lessons learned are ones I will never forget! Good reading everyone!
