Jace Crestwell, Ash McIntyre, and Gabe Hamilton have been best friends and successful business partners for years. They’re powerful, they’re imposing, they’re irresistibly sexy, and Jace and Ash share everything — including their women. When they meet Bethany, Jace begins to feel things he’s never experienced before: jealousy and a powerful obsession that threatens him, overwhelms him — and excites him beyond control. Jace isn’t sharing Bethany — with anyone. He’s determined to be the only man in her life, and it’s jeopardizing a lifelong friendship with Ash. Bethany will be his and his alone. Even if it means turning his back on his best friend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hot! This is one of those reads that kept me awake until 1:30am in order to finish it. I'm suffering the consequences today and yet, I regret nothing. I really enjoyed this novel. It was hot (incredibly so), it was steamy, and I liked the romance. Don't get me wrong, if this was real life I'd probably look at this couple in horror surrounding the rapid evolution and healthiness of their relationship. Luckily for me, this is not real life--this is fiction. Therefore, I have no qualms enjoying the story. Also, what a way to begin a novel! I have never read anything like that before and I have to say, wouldn't have thought I'd like it but wow, it was hot. Definitely broke the mold of my typical erotica reads. Interested to read the final novel in this trilogy. I didn't think I would like the story of Jace as much as Gabe's but I definitely liked it just as much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but too much drama I like the story! Very unlikely to be true but nice fiction and a lot of descriptive scenes. Just too much drama and lack of control for a guy Jace age.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too bad about Jace ... Geez. I was hoping after Gabe made such a poor impression in book 1, that Jace would be an improvement in book 2. No such luck. This was a completely improbable story, Jace is a control freak with a hero complex, and Bethany should have been a stronger character given her circumstances, but she was written as a yet another wimpy leading lady. I didn't buy anything about this story. Thankfully I think the writer is saving the best (or least of the worst??) for last with Ash's story, so I will read that one and happily close out this series.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like Jace he is my favourite so far! View more of my review and others at my blog: www.mynotsovacantshelf.blogspot.com Oh Jace. My favourite of the three so far. I don't know if it's because the previous book was about his sister, or just because it's Jace. Some of this is a little outside my comfort zone, but still it was a hot and enjoyable read. I started to get frustrated with Jace throughout the novel, but I could never fully give up on him. And, Bethany…well she's a different type of girl. With a HUGE history of her own she brings something different to the story. Although some of it is a little more than I'm use to I did enjoy reading about this story, and am waiting the story about Ash. Good: Bethany-A different kind of heroine. She's had a lot of speed-bumps in her life, but overall I liked her. Jace-Sometimes he really got under my skin, but then he kind of go under my skin in a good way. Bad: Sometimes I found the adult aspect to overrun the story-line, and some of the adult content was a little out of my comfort zone Overall (Writing style, story line, and general): Overall, I'll still admit that it was a good book. I like the story line and enjoyed the characters and their dilemma. Sometimes it was a little much for me, and I may have skipped over some intense parts, but it's not anything that had me shying away from the book and the series complete. It was steamy and emotional, and left me with a smile. Here's to book number three. Cheers. Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little disappointed I made sure to get out the day of the release to go get this book and I read it right away. I must say I was a little disappointed in the book. It was very predictable right from the first couple of pages. The middle part of the book just seemed to be a constant repeat of what happened in the chapters before. Although exactly how it ended I couldn't have predicted the ultimate outcome was exactly as I thought it would go from when I started reading it. I didn't find it was a "page turner" like I found with Rush. I definately preferred Rush to this book. I really hope that when Burn comes out it isn't as much of a disappointment as this one was.
