Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charming and Funny Jake's Review: Munsch books are so much fun to read even for big kids like me. It's also cool that its not all mushy like most of the Christmas books usually are. I will definitely read this to the little midget at bedtime. This book would be really good for little kids cuz Munsch's writing sounds like a little kid talking. I like how fun the drawings are and each time you look at it you see something different. The pictures are really funny and even kids my age will like them. I think mom also likes this one because she is always telling me to stop looking for presents and to just be patient. Wish the book was longer. Jake's Rating: 8.5/10 Mom's Review: I love Munsch he is always so much fun to read and kids just lap it up. Jesse liked this one too and got a kick out of all of the illustrations and kept stopping my reading to point out little things in the illustrations. I agree with Jake its nice to read a fun Christmas story that isn't saccharine or mean spirited. The family is real and quirky and just plain fun -- sort of like our family. This will appeal to readers of every age - including adults. Who hasn't gone snooping for presents -- yes Jake you mom too was a present snooper once. As always Martchenko's illustrations will delight and as Jake mentioned, you find something new each time you read. The prose is simple and childlike (this is a good thing) and perfect for reading out loud. Trust me you will love this one! Another instant classic for Munsch Mom's Rating: 9/10 We received this from Scholastic in exchange for an honest review
