Recipe for disaster: Celebrity chef Stanley Chipotle comes to Trenton to participate in a barbecue cook-off and loses his head - literally.

Throw in some spice: Bail bonds office worker Lula is witness to the crime, and the only one she'll talk to is Trenton cop, Joe Morelli.

Pump up the heat: Chipotle's sponsor is offering a million-dollar reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the capture of the killers.

Stir the pot: Lula recruits bounty hunter Stephanie Plum to help her find the killers and collect the moolah.

Add a secret ingredient: Stephanie's Grandma Mazur. Enough said.

Bring to a boil: Can Stephanie hunt down two killers, a traitor, five skips, keep her grandmother out of the sauce, solve Ranger's problems and not jump his bones?

Warning: Janet Evanovich's Finger Lickin' Fifteen is habanero hot. So good you'll want seconds.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Readable, funny, but not compelling PLOT OR PREMISE: Stephanie is back working at Rangeman undercover to help Ranger track down the cause of some recent breakins at his clients' homes. Meanwhile, Lulu wants to find who whacked a bbq chef or win the bbq sauce context, she's flexible. . WHAT I LIKED: The varying combinations of bbq attempts is epic, as are the gaseous results. . WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: The story behind the chef is so-so, and the resolution of the breakins is almost happenstance. Yawn . DISCLOSURE: I received no compensation, not even a free copy, in exchange for this review. I am not personal friends with the author, nor do I follow her on social media.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Agree with the other reviews.... I agree with the other reviews. This novel slightly annoyed me. There were some parts where I was laughing as usual and then bored with the same old shenanigans between characters. Still finished it easily and will continue to read her other books. I would still recommend to someone because they are easy reads and some parts were extremely funny, like i said.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from finger lickin Fifteen This book had me laughing out loud, especially with the characters, Lula and Grandma Mazur. getting the two of them working together is even more hilarious. Still, don't know how Stephanie's hamster manages to live so long...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Finger Lickin' Fail After Lula witnesses the murder of celebrity chef Stanley Chipotle, the killers start coming after her. Also Stephanie is enlisted by Ranger to help uncover who has been breaking into and robbing his clients of RangeMan security. Unfortunately Finger Lickin' Fifteen is my least favourite installment in the Stephanie Plum series, so far. I just couldn't get myself motivated to read it and in turn it took me a lot longer to finish than normal. I found myself growing tired of the Stephanie-Morelli-Ranger love triangle, as it hasn't made any progress in 15 books. Also Lula's antics were more annoying this time around, than funny or amusing. Although I didn't particularly like this one, I do intend to continue on with the series. However I think that Stephanie Plum and I need to take a brake for a while.

Editorial Reviews

"Veteran Evanovich narrator Lorelei King seems perfectly at home when in command of bounty hunter Stephanie Plum...Plum's larger than life office assistant Lula lands in the center of the drama, and King delivers a deliciously over the top performance of her antics." -Publishers Weekly"Lorelei King delivers this light fiction with gusto, missing none of the humor, whether broad or subtle...King's comic timing suits the story as does the laugh that's almost audible in her performance. Who else could make us giggle at a headless body in a morgue?" -AudioFile"Lorelei King's narration and portrayals of the bounty jumpers are as spicy as ever!" -Chapel Hill Herald"For fans of Evanovich mysteries on audiobook, Lorelei King is more than a reader -- she is Stephanie Plum." -Publishers Weekly"These books are really just laugh-out-loud funny." -HubPages"Evanovich writes with flair in an absurdist vein that her imitators can only envy." -The New York Times"Evanovich dishes up her usual mixture of shoot-'em-up action (numerous cars explode) and quirky characters (notably a neighborhood flasher with a devoted following)." -Publishers Weekly"The 15th chapter of Evanovich's long-running Stephanie Plum series still keeps the wacky factor hilariously high. Only Evanovich can make the shenanigans of this nutty crew seem almost reasonable.... There are giggles galore!" -RT Book Reviews"Read Finger Lickin' Fifteen for the laughs." -Omaha World-Herald
