Most of us remember the difficulties experienced in early childhood in grasping thought and in trying to talk like grown up people. Many of us, too, have reason to regret early companionships, which have left us a legacy of incorrect expressions, slang phrases and faulty pronunciation. A whole school has been known to assume the pronounced brogue natural to a teacher who had taught the school for several years. If incorrect expressions are used by a teacher they will in all probability be repeated by the pupils.
