The Man Who Would Be Satan

Parry was a gifted musician and an apprentice in the arts of White Magic. But his life of sweet promise went disastrously awry following the sudden, violent death of his beloved Jolie.

Led down the twisted path of wickedness and depravity by Lilah the harlot demoness, Parry thrived -- first as a sorceror, then as a monk, and finally as a feared inquisitor.

But it wasn't until his mortal flame was extinguished that Parry found his true calling -- as the Incarnation of Evil. And, at the gates of Hell, he prepared to wage war on the master himself -- Lucifer, the dark lord -- with dominion over the infernal realms the ultimate prize!

New York Times-bestselling author Piers Anthony has written over one hundred books. His first fantasy, A Spell for Chameleon, won the August Derleth Fantasy Award for best novel in 1977, and commenced his acclaimed Xanth series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thankless Job, ... but somebody's got to do it. Satan is definitely one of the best of the Incarnation series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in the series This is the sixth book in the Incarnations of Immortality series and, my favourite. While some may be offended at the almost flippant treatment of eternal evil, I like the idea that you are sometimes just stuck with a job you hate and need to make the best of it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great book One of the more fun books in the series, and maybe one of the best books. But I enjoy the entire series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For Love of Evil is a MUST read!!! If you have read the rest of the Incarnations of Imortallity series then you will absolutely love this latest additon. For Love of Evil takes you on an unexpected journey through a twist of lies that blur the boundarys between good and evil. If you have not read the rest of the series you are in for a treat because you never know what will happen. Even if you have read the series you are in for a couple of suprises, and these can just leave you laughing or cringing. Once I picked it up I read it within 10 hours (while I was at work for 6 of those hours.....don't tell my boss). I don't think anyone can dislike this book.
