Rated 5 out of 5 by from I laughed, I cried and could feel your love for each other I read this heartfelt book and was totally unable to put it down as I truly felt part of the story .. your story shared how quality time spent together is so much more valuable and important than spending many years together .. I laughed, I cried and could feel your love for each other right until the day of his passing. Your story was very touching and makes me realize to count my blessings and enjoy each day as if it is was my last and to cherish all my relationships as they are golden.. Your courage and strength and your story was one of true love like no other. Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Thanks for sharing your story with all of us .. I am sure Michael will forever be watching over you ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved it! With compassion and loyalty Cynda puts a lot of effort into keeping Michael’s memory alive. She draws attention to the scariest time in a person’s life, knowing that your days are numbered and just trying to live another day longer and how frightening that would be.  She reveals her love for Michael and his love for her where most people wouldn’t dare to share such intimacy. With heart wrenching stories of the love they shared and how painful it was for her to finally meet her soul mate and to lose him so soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An untold number of people live their whole lives without finding the love of their life I was so touched by your relationship with Michael, by reading the details of how you met and how your love grew. Very sweet, really lovely. Not many people in this world meet the love of their life but you and Michael did it. You both were so lucky (and deserving) to find each other and not let anything (like his illness) keep you apart. It is the sweetest story and I thank you so much for sharing it with me. An untold number of people live their whole lives without finding the love of their life. Through your loving openness you and Michael found each other. It’s a heartwarming story. Thanks Cynda.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love comes when you least expect it Cynda pouring her heart out in this book, detailing every first moment with her true love Michael is heartwarming but heartbreaking at the same time as their time together was cut short. Cynda's grieving process and how she coped with the passing of the love her life displays the courage and pain she had to go through. It comes to show that it doesn't matter how long you know someone that defines how much you love them, you just know when you meet the right person in your life that this person is your soulmate. To read this true love story unfold in the book was emotional as two people who dearly loved each other and were meant to be in this lifetime did not have enough time with each other as Micheal was terminally ill. In little time they knew they had with each other, they made the best of every moment until the very end. What a beautiful love story written by a beautiful author!

The love Cynda and Michael have for each other is undeniable and you know that they have found each others soul mates. Reading the book you cannot help but feel that you are apart of their journey. The author gives you the truth from her point of view and how she coped with the loss of Michael. No matter how you look at the grieving process the one truth that we all have in common is that life is too short and you must live life to the fullest. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful love story. This very heart warming and honest story was an easy read. I enjoyed the creativity of this book. What a great compilation of emails written back and forth between Cynda and Michael. I enjoyed every aspect of this story. The nick names they gave each other were playful and genuine. The relationship that unfolded in this novel is a testimony to how everyone should live their life for the moment without regret and hesitation. The amazing love they shared triumphs over cancer. This story tells us about the adversity and unpredictability of what life brings. Even with limited time these two individuals find an everlasting love. The human heart can withstand so much pain and loss but it can also with a positive perspective move forward over time and rise above the darkness. After reading this book it really made me realize how life is truly short and to cherish every moment. Great work Cynda! Thank you for sharing your beautiful love story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poignant and compelling Above all, this is a story about the courage to love. The true story of two people who meet and fall in love when one is in the final stages of a terminal disease is a compelling testiment to the power of love. It is an immensely moving tale of the ups and downs of a real life given over to love, made all the more poignant knowing time is short. The book brought tears to my eyes many times yet filled me with awe and respect for the writer who refused to back down in the face of the inevitable. Grief is the price of love, yet most of us don't have the certainty of grief staring us down every day we are in a relationship. "Our time together wasn't long but we managed to squeeze in a lifetime of love, laughter, and tears".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great book for anyone dealing with profound grief!!! I personally have found this book to be wonderful, because it has a very inspiring, authentic and comforting message to everyone with a hurting heart: It lets you know that grief is a (long) process, and it's okay to take your time to work through it. While the author isn't afraid to show how painful it can be, she also gives you tremendous strength that you will find hope and joy again. I highly recommend this book to any grieving person who needs to understand the emotional and devastating process they are going through. Every funeral home, hospice, and hospital should carry it to help those who are going home for the first time to a new life without their loved one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heartbreakingly Triumphant! A candid, and powerful book that explores the joys of love, and the unrelenting courage of a woman who loves a man enough to go through his journey fighting one of the hardest illnesses, terminal cancer. The book reveals both the heartache, frustrations and sadness that comes out of dealing with cancer, but also the ability of love to conquer all of that. I never believed in the phrase "love conquers all!", until I read this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure and from the heart This novel is a beautiful and candid collection of personal emails, letters, and memories between two people whose love had an end date before it even began. But that knowledge does not stop this unlikely couple from seeing each other and falling deeply in love. The author speaks to the reader like a conversation between two friends. You are immediately drawn in and share the highs and lows of their emotional journey. You are joyous with their joys and ache with their heartaches. It is a personal story of the heart from the eyes of a strong and inspiring woman. This novel puts life in perspective. It reminds you what is important in life. To value those around you. To love and live like every day is your last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was like finding someone's diary and knowing that I shouldn't be reading it but unable to stop myself. I read this book in one sitting. It was like finding someone's diary and knowing that I shouldn't be reading it but unable to stop myself. Cynda is one of my dearest friends. She went missing from my life after meeting Michael and this tribute to him has finally told me how the story unfolded. The book is very emotional which sometimes gets away from her but it is clear from the outset that this was a special meeting of two souls who each needed what the other had to give. There are few people in our lives like Cynda who has boundless optimism and a genuine love of life. Her ability to stay with someone and see him to the end of his life with no fear for her own survival only testifies to her capacity for caring and that I am beyond lucky to have a friend like her in my life. I very much doubt I could have done what she did for Michael but it was a two way street and what she gained from the experience is clearly told on every page. Its a jaw dropping tale of love without boundaries. A whole box of kleenex is required.
