Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprise! I was so happy to see another book set in this world from Sharon Shinn. Though I didn't have the same emotional connection to the main character at the beginning, I quickly came to love her and enjoyed the story very much. Would love to see more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprise story! I thought the 12 Houses/Gillengaria series was over, but this book, set a year after Reader and Raelynx, is an excellent epilogue to the original quartet. As always, Sharon Shinn writes excellent fantasy adventure with political intrigue and strong, independent female characters.
