about

The 5th Worlde Sagas

The empire stretches across the worlde map, pink ~ like the blotches on a drunkards face.

A dark epic fantasy set in a broken worlde of plots, high treason, intrigue, murder, war, torture and true love.

The Sagas are set in the Medieval times of the 100 Years War. The storylines twirl around twelve individual protagonists of differing ages, race, gender and sexual orientation, as they fight to survive in a very brutal worlde.

Templars, Witches, Inquisitors, Wizards, Kings, Fairies, and Murderers clash and plot intrigues.

A young Sir Thomas Henry Valentine Deveroux spies for the empire, under the guise of being one of the great literary minds of the age but he is is having trouble finishing his latest novel. His mother bullies him, his father has disinherited him, and his lover is a known witch and freethinking woman. An old Cambridge college acquaintance is murdered. His mentor disappears and a smuggler finds a body in Camden Lock.

Deveroux struggles with his emotions, whilst his loyalty is torn between the Templars, the empire, and the crown. The cultural laws are introduced, the inquisition is in full swing, and the sadistic Witch-Finder General prosecutes
all who fall beneath his grasp. Deveroux meets a beautiful Chinese girl and chaos erupts around him.

And so, begins the hunt for a lost treasure, the fight for liberty, and the struggle for equality.

Editorial Reviews

A truly great read, I especially like the way the characters interact as the tale unfolds. It's sweeping in its epic view points, as different nations collide across the medieval world. The excellent prose is splattered with a gorgeous sense of humour and contains numerous hilarious antidotes as well as strong, blood thirsty, dark and sometimes violent scenes. Apparently this is book one of three, and I'am already cursing that I will have to wait for the next.Strongly recommended for all fantasy and history fans but also for those who enjoy wit, humour and adventure.
