When she was living in a tent pitched on the Sohma family's land, Tohru Honda's primary concerns were dirt and slugs. But now that she's living with the Sohmas, she's gotten a crash course in magical powers and ancient curses! And as if keeping the Sohma clan secret wasn't bad enough, Tohru has to work overtime to prevent all the jealous girls from finding out that she's living under the same roof as the school prince, Yuki, and the school hothead, Kyo! What new drama will Valentine's Day bring into Tohru's life?!
Natsuki Takaya burst onto the manga scene in North America with the publication of Fruits Basket which became an immediate sensation. Her other works include Twinkle Stars and Liselotte & Witch's Forest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm in love with this series! I loved the interactions between Tohru and Yuki and Tohru and Kyo. The slight romantic build ups. And Yuki and Kyo's hilarious interactions, in addition: the new characters coming to their school and causing more hilarity to ensue. <spoiler>Especially the part when Hatsuharu showed that guy (well I'm assuming judging by the evidence hehe) his man parts in the men's bathroom hahahaha.</spoiler> As well as other new character introductions such as <spoiler>Yuki's brother.</spoiler> This volume really had a lot! Aside from the humour, this volume also had more emotional and heartbreaking scenes; showing some insight to a lot of the characters' lives which was great but oh so sad. I also love the important role that Tohru is coming to be in the Sohmas' lives. I love this series so much already and I'm so happy that this volume reminded me how much I loved the first volume and the characters and the story. I really want to find out more about the characters and their back stories. And I also can't wait to see what becomes of these possible romances.
