Rated 5 out of 5 by from great book! Great story with sizzling romance and a bit of suspence

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic romantic suspense Rowdy Yates had a pretty tough childhood - actually no childhood.  He was physically abused by his alcoholic parents and protected/looked after his younger sister. He now owns a bar that he bought as a run-down mess and fixed it up.  It is now very successful.  The ladies love him so he is never without a female at night. But he doesn't do relationships, just one nights. He hired Avery Mullins as his bartender and never hid the fact that he wanted her in his bed. Avery has a secret that she doesn't want anyone to find out about - that she ran away from a very wealthy home.  She doesn't do one night stands or relationships so they have a problem. I liked the writing style of the author very much. Foster developed scenes in a manner that the reader can’t help but picture. Getty Rowdy was suspenseful and emotional and so well written that I felt part of the group.  Even though I have not read any other books in this series, I didn't feel lost in the story line so this was good as a stand alone. The characters created were very real.  I am in love with Rowdy - make that in lust with him.  Avery was a perfect match for him.  The secondary characters were developed to suit their roles within the story without ever overshadowing or eclipsing the main characters.  Many of the plot twists in this story came from the supporting cast themselves. The twist near the end with Miles was surprising. I really liked the ending and overall, thought this was a fantastic romantic suspense. novel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite of the series so far! This is an amazing series, so when I say that this is my favorite so far, that is saying a lot. Rowdy is a great hero. He doesn't realize his own worth or the good that he does for other people. Lori Foster manages to write about about this wounded hero without going overboard. He is definitely a flawed hero, but the flaws seem to make him more endearing. The story is always moving without being frantic, but the story still takes enough time to develop the characters well and to allow the reader to become engrossed in the lives and love of the characters. Although it is better to read this in the order of the series, the novel could be read out of sequence and it would still be very enjoyable, you would however miss some of the more subtle story lines. All in all this is another great book from Lori Foster and one that you definitely shouldn't miss

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready for Rowdy Foster is a very illustrative writer who creates an entire world for audience to get lost in. Every aspect of this novel is fully developed in a manner that you can’t help but picture. She presents her readers with a novel that is simultaneously exciting, suspenseful, and emotional, oh, and rather hot as well. The characters in this novel are developed bit by bit until you get a full picture of who they are. This goes for the main characters as well as the supporting cast. I found myself falling in love with the fully developed Alpha male lead. I also felt for the female lead. Foster made it so easy to identify with her. I also really appreciate the fact that Foster takes the time to develop characters that we got to know in previous novels. It makes this novel a real stand alone, even while it follows perfectly in the series as a whole. As a whole, this is a very well put together novel that I couldn’t put down for even a second. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys Alpha male leads and romance with a bit of suspense on the side. Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Read from the Book

Avery Mullins hesitated outside the entrance of the newly renovated bar. This early in the day, only a dim interior showed beyond the locked, glass-and-oak double entry doors—new doors that had just been installed two weeks ago.Doors she'd helped to pick out.Freshly painted signs crowded the big front window, advertising food, two pool tables, dancing and drinks. Overhead neon lights showcased the name of the bar: Getting Rowdy. It made her smile, remembering how she'd suggested the name, and how he'd followed through. In such a short time, so much had changed. The business had gone from a failing, run-down dump of a place known mostly for its cheap drinks and availability of illicit drugs to a promising, fresh new bar with a fast-growing crowd. Even more notable was her switch of positions, from struggling waitress to head bartender.Satisfaction had her smiling through most of her days. Thanks to the tips she made along with the raise she'd gotten, she no longer had the grind of two jobs just to make ends meet. She'd kept the same apartment that could only be called modest if someone felt generous. And for the sake of anonymity, she still took the bus to and from work, rather than drive. But.. She had changed. Before meeting Rowdy Yates—bar owner, boss and scalding-hot temptation—before being swept up in his enthusiasm for turning around a broke-dick bar, she'd…survived. No more, no less. She hadn't been unhappy, really. Or rather, there'd been no time to dwell on ideas like ha
