Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Interesting! Even though this was an older book, I saw a video on youtube and was interested in the book. The book was very interesting, I finished it in one day. It was easy to understand and I learned a few things that I did not know. I would want more everyday examples/ situations to understand exactly what to do? As some of the examples were so scripted, I do not think I could ever say that in real life. But would recommend for a quick read!!Especially if you are still single. #plumreviews

From Our Editors

In Getting to "I Do", Dr. Patricia Allen and Sandra Harmon came to the rescue of a generation of women looking for lasting love. But marriage is not a final destination, it is the beginning of a new journey -- one fraught with new concerns and changing pressures. Despite true love and commitment, a marriage can falter and delight can diminish. So here Dr. Allen shares her proven methods for making marriage come alive again. And her rules are so simple as to be revolutionary. With all the talk about the separate but equal needs of men and women, she is the first to address the fact that in each of us there is feminine energy as well as masculine energy. In modern marriage, where the lines are less clearly drawn than in the past, these energies need to blend and flow together. They must complement, not compete. Once you learn Dr. Allen's valuable lessons, love and sex have a chance to flourish once again, and the ground is set for "Staying Married...and Loving It!"
