USA Today bestselling author Catherine Gayle presents another novel in the sexy Tulsa Thunderbirds hockey romance series, a spin-off from the Portland Storm series.

He had it all.

And lost it in an instant.

The night Dmitri Nazarenko won hockey’s Holy Grail, he lost more than he ever bargained for. With a world of guilt weighing him down, Dima can never forgive himself for his tragic misjudgment. Turning his body into a shrine of past mistakes, he hides behind tattoos that memorialize his failures and a beard that masks his pain.

But London Hawke sees right through him. The fiery woman refuses to pity a man like him. No stranger to incurable injuries, London lets nothing stand in the way of living her life. Seeing an able-bodied man haunted by the ghosts of his past is a surefire way to trigger her annoyance, and that’s exactly what she finds in Dima.

When they face off, it becomes a battle of wills. Their constant bickering turns to an unavoidable dance between the sheets. But she won’t accept sharing a bed with the past for long. Will Dima learn to fight his demons, or will London leave him to dance with his ghosts alone?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Book!!! This book was amazing. Dima started out as a stubborn, angry man. The only people who saw his softer side were his teammate Hunter & his wife Tallie & their daughter Harper, who Dima would rock & talk Russian to, to get her to sleep while she was dealing with colic. When London comes into the picture the anger turns to heat when she pushes his buttons & wow is the temperature HOT! London has had to overcome many obstacles being confined to a wheelchair after a sports injury & putting up with stubborn Dima is one that she's determined to get past. Only problem is, is that they're both in the same boat with not really putting the past behind them. The angst between Dima & London is strong & with the interference of Wade(a friend who wants to be more to London) the drama is raw. The fact that they are both willing to do whatever it takes to make things work is amazing from these 2 strong willed people. Loved the interaction between them when London's car was stolen & she had to stay with Dima. I really thought he'd lost his mind at one point. Definitely recommend this book & series. The set up of the next book as well in the epilogue was brilliant by Catherine Gayle, I can't wait to read Rite of Passage...Drew's story.
