about

Rae Wilder has problems. Supernatural creatures swarm the earth, and humanity is on the brink of extinction. Stalked by a handsome fairy who claims she is like him, demonkind, Rae thinks maybe it was a mistake breaking the rules by going over the Wall into demon territory.

Plunged into a world of dark magics, fierce creatures, and ritual sacrifice, she is charged with a guarding a magical amulet. The changes to her mind and body are startling, but rather than accept her purpose she struggles against who she is destined to be. Throw in a big lust for a vampire who can't keep his hands off her, and life starts to get complicated.

Rae is forced to make the ultimate choice: to live and die human, or embrace her birth-right and wield magics that could turn her into something wicked, a force of nature nothing can control.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Contains spoilers!! I thought this book was going to be good it was one of the top book on the GoodReads website so I downloaded it to my ereader. Once I started reading it I began to realise how annoying the character Rae was. Rae was a stereotypical girl with no control of her feelings, she threw herself it any male character that didn't reject her. I only saw real emotion when her friend Alex got kidnapped. And then there was Breandan the most annoying male character ever he was so possessive over Rae that he pushed her into the arms of a vampire... Wow smart move there. He even refused to tell her anything about her past he just said 'you're a fairy' yeah like she can read minds and know whether your telling the truth or not! The only character I actually like was Alex she showed real emotion and wasn't a stereotypical girl and what does the author do kill her... As well as this, her death was the only part I the story that grabbed my full attention not because it was shocking just the fact that they sacrificed her was quite morbid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love it so much read it all the time i dnt give books 5 stars but this book , i dnt even know how to begin to describe it. i loved it. with a good book you need to ketch the readers attenchion make them want to jump into the book. Make them feel like they can relate to the character or characters in the story. Happy , angrey , sad, upset, just emotional all these feelings need to run throught the reader, and with this book it happend with me. VAMPIRES, FAIRIES, WITCHES , WERE-CATS. like does it get any better?. not to mention that the vamp is super cute and sexy with a dangerous edge oh but wait so is the fairy tall bright and super hot. who would you chose?. whould you go with something u knew was the light or whould you go for the dark? me well haha thats kinda easy id go for the dark because no matter what nothign can be dark without light.
