Lirael must use her new powers to save the Old Kingdom from this great danger—and it must be forestalled not only in the living world but also in the cold, remorseless river of Death.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally! Finally got to read this long awaited book! I was so happy to have the characters back. I loved there there was more to explore North of the Old Kingdom. I wish the beginning didn't go kinda slow... and I felt like the other half was a bit rushed. I found I was greatly missing a sort of beast; No Mogget or Dog. If you loved the series, I'm sure you'll enjoy this book.
