Rated 2 out of 5 by from A Satisfying End to the Original Gossip Girl Series The novel tied up loose ends nicely. It seems as if everyone that was meant to be together ended up together. I enjoyed seeing all of the characters end up someplace different. Blair's dream of Yale is fulfilled, but none of the characters ended up someplace they didn't fit. In fact, Cecily von Ziegesar stays true to who the characters are from when the audience met them in the very first novel. For the end of the series, there are also no sad endings. In fact, I think von Ziegesar would have success picking up with the character's lives later on in future novels. I did have a problem with the editing job. Someone must have fallen asleep at their desk before Don't You Forget About Me went to print. I noticed a number of grammar and print errors. Perhaps the next Gossip Girl novel can include the rumors about who got fired for that one... Speaking of future Gossip Girl novels, I am no fool to von Ziegesar's hints about never novels in spin off series. The mention of the Carlyles has no effect on the current storyline. Additionally, we are reminded numerous times of Jenny Humphrey's departure for boarding school - the subject of another von Ziegesar series. I suppose publishing a series is a business, but I definitely feel the pressure from von Ziegesar to keep on buying her novels... The Gossip Girl series in no literary genius - but it certainly is entertaining. The last novel is as deliciously addictive as the first and the series will continue to be my guilty pleasure read. Especially considering we still don't know who Gossip Girl is yet... I know I love these books, - Golden Hawk Girl

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! This is by far the best novel in the whole series. I absolutely LOVED it, and the end was so moving, and, excuse the juxtaposition, but it was very sad and very happy at the end, all at the same time. I loved this book, it made me idolize Blair even more, and fall more in love with Nate. I'm SO excited for both of the new series', as well.
