Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heart-touching read A heart-touching book that entails everything from humor, foul-language, and dark plot lines. The reader will automatically find themselves with an emotional connection to Mikey Walsh and rooting for him throughout the entire book. This biography also introduces interesting details on the lives and expectations of the Gypsy culture. I couldn't put this book down and finished it in a weekend! I would recommend this book to anyone who appreciates a read of struggles and resilience.

About the Author

Five years ago Mikey Walsh finally succumbed to staying put.
London called him and it is the longest time he has ever lived in one place. He works at a nearby primary school, where he teaches art and drama, and also picks up the formal education he missed out on as a child. Mikey proposed to his partner on the number 38 bus two years ago and they married last summer.

Editorial Reviews

'The earthy, violent, funny memoir of a gypsy boy in England. It's absolutely riveting, un-put-downable.'-Anne Lamott, The Miami Herald
