Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suitable reading for anyone griefing I was given this little book after my husband and soul mate of 36 years passed away by a friend I have had since high school. It has little quotes and elaborations by the author for each day of the year. I love the format of this book because it only takes a moment of your day to be touched by its words. Each day I read a page and sometimes I go back and read quotes that really hit me. This book has helped me get through my darkest moments. It takes only moments I will buy this book for everyone dear to me who has lost a loved one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from day by day this book helped me get through This book was a gift from a friend when my 27 year old daughter died. Every day there is a new inspirational quote. It helped me get through those first dark weeks and months of grief. Very well done and many thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely wonderful My aunt bought this book for me after I lost my dear husband/friend. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has lost anyone, especially someone who you were very close to. This book helps you to look at death, not as something to be feared, but as a part of life. I read one meditation each day and it helps me to start my day with hope. Although I miss my husband deeply, I know I can survive each day, one day at a time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healing From Loss This book is filled with wisdom - it is thoughtful and comforting. I cannot recommend it enough. There is a one page entry for every day of the year that begins with a small quote that is then elaborated upon by the author. In reading these daily meditations, one is acutely aware of the author's own journey through grief and her familiarity with the subject (she speaks of losing her daughter) and, although she does not dwell on her own loss, there is great comfort in knowing that she has walked this journey before us and survived. Somehow, the messages remind us that, even in grief, even in losing one we loved so dear, there is beauty still around us, there is light and hope at the end of the darkness, not only for us but perhaps for them as well.
