Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Book! In my opinion Health First is the best wellness/weight loss book on the market. It is clearly written in a comfortable straightforward manner which makes it very easy to read. Dr. Hirsch's passion for helping people to achieve optimum health through proper food choices (and eliminating poor food choices - salt, fat, sugar) is most evident throughout. The patient success stories are inspiring. The Health First weight loss program, which offers daily and weekly food budgets, is explicitly outlined. Sample menus are offered as well. If you have thought 2014 is THE year to finally improve your health then this is the book for you. It is well worth the investment!
