Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I love the psy-changling novels. This story took me by surprise. It was always clear that Kaleb had a hidden agenda but I never guess that it would turn out to be what it was, sorry not spoiling it. You need to read this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I really loved this book. It's definitely going onto the favourites shelf. I love Kaleb Krychek :D and Sahara was a true heroine. Their story was so beautiful. I know I'll be re-reading the sweet moments over and over again. Another awesome book by Nalini Singh. Now I just have to wait another year for the next book T_T

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great read from a great author Nalini Singh is in my opinion one of the best authors in the field of fantasy romance. This book is proof of it. I couldn't put it down the first time I read it nor the second time. A book, better said a series that should be on everyones shelf who loves paranormals and hot romance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nalini Singh is a master storyteller! Nailing Singh has no counterpart in her ability to weave together a story that captures the heart of readers as they fall in love with characters who have become family! We absolutely need more of this series. All those Arrows need mates - it's so much fun trying to imagine them finding their way in a world filled with light instead of total darkness!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible addition to the series!!!! Unbelievable!!!! I waited and waited for this book... I didn't read any teasers, excerpts, reviews, or group discussions. I wanted to go into this book without being spoiled even a little bit (and I'm often someone who loves spoilers)... and my expectations were already through the roof, what with it being the Ghost's book and all... Ahhhh this book was just awesome on SO many levels and met EVERY. SINGLE. EXPECTATION. AND. MORE. This review is going to be the pits to some because I'm basically just going to tell you how I feel up to this point, mainly because just telling you who the leads are in this book is a spoiler, and I don't want to spoil a thing for anyone. Plus being the 12th book in a series, reviews are hardly simple when it comes to a fictional world like this one... Listen if you've never read Singh before and are a fan of paranormal romance or even urban fantasy with a strong romantic subplot, then get off your bum and pick up Slave to Sensation (book 1 in the Psy-Changeling series) right now! And I recommend reading at least the first three books if you're not convinced after book 1 or 2. Singh has a gift for world building, and it takes more than two books to get even a small idea of what she's building for us. And let's just say from where it started to where it is now... Ridiculous! It's unbelievable how small morsels from early books in the series are still relevant 8-10 books down the road. Singh is quite consistent with the quality of her work (very very few continuity errors or problems like that), and even when one particular book isn't your favourite in the series, it's still very good and you still like it because of the progression of where she's going with the overall major story arc. Heart of Obsidian is officially in a three-way tie for my favourite in the series. There's no clear cut lead between Judd's book (#3), Hawke's book (#10), and this one the Ghost's book, and I think it's because I love them the same but for slightly different reasons. For Heart of Obsidian, the Ghost is probably the best written "anti-hero" PERIOD! He has done some reprehensible things where you always question where exactly he stands on the good-to-evil scale (obviously closer to evil), and yet Singh does such an amazing job of giving us pieces of this damaged soul, breaking him down layer by layer with the support of this perfect woman for a man like him, you just can't help but want that HEA! And the sex scenes in this thing were ridiculous! Saying the Ghost is a Psy is not a spoiler, so my point is that sex scenes with Psy can come off as sounding quite clinical with a pro-creation purpose only. That is not the case here!!! Ah-mazingly hot and sexy!!! As a reader you're still very aware that it is a Psy having sex, but WOW! Singh has a way with words :P I just can't imagine a die-hard fan of the series like myself being disappointed with this. There will undoubtedly be one or two, but that's just it, they'll be in the minority. For me to find flaws would just be too nit-picky at this point, and it really isn't necessary when I loved it and gave it five stars! I hope Singh fans enjoy this as much as I did, and I hope Singh newbies give this author a chance. If it wasn't official before, it is now! Singh is my favourite author in the genre hands downs (I'm also including her Guild Hunter series that I love just as much as well). She makes her books so much more than a romance, but it all goes hand-in-hand in the best way possible!!! :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh My heart wept for the young Kaleb and it sang with joy for Sahara and Kaleb as the found each other. The length Kaleb was prepared to protect and avenge his love brought a sigh to my heart. A great love story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once again I'm in love... Psy-changeling series is really addicting. While I love the other books, I was bored with psy-changeling or changeling-changeling couples. Not that I'm bored with their stories, but I was more interested in psy race. Maybe because I'm in emotional race, so I was curious about them. So I was delighted when the first two-word in this story was Kaleb Krychek. Not only his silence was so silence (from outside at least), he was a dual cardinal councilor who literally can move the earth when he surprised or lost control of his ability (I always giggled when I read those parts). And his mate, Sahara, was a badass in her own way. She's my favorite psy heroine (after Sienna of course). This book is majority about psy, and eventhough you prefer changeling more than psy, you'll still enjoy this, I assure you. The story itself is very good, the pace was rather fast but it fit nice with the story. In the last chapter, there was a big change in psynet and then...stop. Ms Singh is such a big tease.. But I still love her and her story <3 My favorite quote from this book is "We shared DNA" ;-)
