When 16-year-old Tessa suffers a shocking accident in gym class, she finds herself in heaven (or what shethinksis heaven), which happens to bear a striking resemblance to her hometown mall. In the tradition ofIt's a Wonderful LifeandThe Christmas Carol, Tessa starts reliving her life up until that moment. She sees some things she'd rather forget, learns some things about herself she'd rather not know, and ultimately must find the answer to one burning question--if only she knew what the questionwas.

Written in sharp, witty verse, Wendy Mass crafts an extraordinary tale of a spunky heroine who hasn't always made the right choices, but needs to discover what makes life worth living.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from alright Heaven Looks a lot Like The Mall was an iffy book for me. the majority of it is all of the events leading up to the main character's death, like her whole life story. so you have to read through her whole life before finding out what the heck is going on in the book. i dont know, it was alright for me. but the main story and plot of the book only takes up a small fraction of the novel, the rest is recapping on the girl's life. so it was ok.
