I met Fred first.

Fred: Hot. Enigmatic. Alex’s first friend in her lonely new town. Maybe her first…everything.

I met Adina the following Monday.

Adina: Fred’s twin sister. Cold. Troubled. Trouble.

I kissed him.

She pressed her mouth to my mouth.

People warn Alex to steer clear of the twins, but Alex is drawn to them. She wants to be part of their crazy world…no matter the consequences.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Moody Teenager . blogspot . com review Once I actually got the book, I was planning on putting it aside, I would read it after a few other books. But while I was putting it in my bookshelf, I started reading the first few pages, and then the first few pages turned into the first few chapters, then I was pretty much done the book. It's a pretty small book in essence, but it took me 2 or 3 days to complete. Okay, I'm about to pull a Canadian fast one on you, anybody here watch DEGRASSSIII????? What about the movie? Yes? No? No. Okay. Well in the movie there were these twins, Fiona and...err..Deqlin. Some shizz like that. Anyways, Fiona was super controlling when it came to De...q...lin. She would pretty much compete with his girlfriends, and yeah. There was a bit of twincest involved. (YUCK). So you must be wondering, Asma, why are you talking to us about creepy Canadian twins? My answer: Those twins from Degrassi = Twins from Her me and you. That was probably the reason the book was slightly played out for me. But the book isn't played out as a book. Anyways, my thoughts on the book...It was okay. I really liked Lauren's way or writing, it wasn't too detailed like some authors (I GET IT, IT SMELLED LIKE POOP AND THE GRASS WAS GREEN. MOVE ON). Her writing was probably one of my favorite parts of the book. When I think back though, I really liked the plot and the way the story was going. I also enjoyed the way Alex and Fred's relationship went down, it was very ginger and slow, yet it was so manipulated by Adina. But then...ehh....the ending was kind of lame. I was hoping for more of a bang. That was probably the downfall of the book for me. The ending was pretty flat. website design But I enjoyed everything else.

Editorial Reviews

"[Her and Me and You] explores the loss of innocence and the tearing down and rebuilding of relationships in a relatable fashion. The simplicity of the text is its power. Short chapters, mostly dialogue, come across like stills in a glossy magazine. Reluctant readers and their peers will be drawn to this minimalist romance and its intriguing characters." --Booklist
