Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible - Loved this book. I received my book by Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenburger and Jefrey Zaslow - 'Highest Duty: My Search For What Matters' through ordering in the store, 'Chapters' as it was not in stock. The book had a corner 'wrinkle' mark from front cover to back which I never could figure out how this happened, but it did not affect the appearance or value to me of the book. The delivery service was quick and efficient. I absolutely loved this book and admire Capt. Sullenburger's story from beginning to end. My late husband (Frank J. Londres) was an American and a private pilot and he would have greatly admired the heroics and intelligence and split second decisions of "Sully" from, as he so thoroughly wrote, his lifetime of being the person he is, and his love of flying, and it all came down to split seconds. I also was able to watch on TV (CNN) the day it happened, and am so thankful I finally purchased his book, I wanted to write him via email or some such method to express my enjoyment. I also wondered immediately in noticing the co-author's name, if Jeffrey Zaslow was related in any way with Michael Zaslow who was a leading actor on The Guiding Light - the longest running Soap at the time, (Radio and on CBS) and a wonderful person who lost his battle with ALS a few years back. Very enjoyable book and I couldn't put it down!!

Editorial Reviews

"As Sullenberger grows from a 5-year-old who wants to fly planes, to a fighter pilot, to a 57-year-old "gray-haired man with my hands on the controls of an Airbus A320 over Manhattan,"it's clear there's a story here to tell.... Sullenberger speaks frankly of the toll the public spotlight has taken on his marriage, as well as the difficulties he and his family have endured throughout his commercial aviation career.... The result is as dramatic as it is inspirational." (Publishers Weekly (starred review))
