Rated 5 out of 5 by from This series changed my life This series changed me when I was a kid; it made me question my morals, my spiritual beliefs, and got me interested in quantum multi-world theory. I re-read it every couple of years and it still moves me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Children's fiction at it's finest I was told to read this series by a teacher friend of mine, and will be forever in her debt! What a truly fantastic read. Honestly, this series is better written and more detailed then most Adult fiction. I have since recommended it to everyone I know, and can hardly wait for my own children to experience the magic in these pages. Unquestionably a modern children's classic and a must read for kids of all ages!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the movie Great series. I've read this book before I went to watch the movie The Golden Compass and once again, it's one of those that it's better to read the book than to watch the movie. First 2 books was amazing and I couldn't stop reading it. While the 3rd book, the first half of the book was good, the 2nd half seems to be dragging a bit. Overall, easy to read and great plot.
