Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well written and informative - everyone should have a copy I recently read Dr. Heather Tick's book on Holistic Pain Relief and wanted to share my enthusiasm. First of all, the book is easy to understand. It is full of concise but extremely helpful information on the full spectrum of pain relief, both mental and physical, from traditional to her very successful holistic methods and therapies. It gives a rundown on all vitamins, minerals, hormones, toxins, nutrition, exercise and more. I love her way of dealing with each person's pain as individual. Prescriptions and suggestions take into consideration the whole person, both mind and body. I took the book with me on a recent trip with my sisters and we found it stimulating and such a helpful aid to a discussion platform on our own health and needs. Her Personal Health Assessment is a great way to identify and understand individual healing needs and process and it just flows from there, explaining all options. It is a fantastic tool with an easy index for a quick reference or refresher on a subject. She makes it all personal, and it is wonderful to know that a doctor can be so warm and understanding. I would recommend having this on your shelf.
