Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! it's a great lead, with a thrilling plot that at least was a little dry for me but it picked half way through the novel. I really enjoyed the main characters, loved their dynamic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fresh and exciting new series Characters were strong, relateable and very entertaining opposites. They are lovable and have their own intriguing qualities about them, very similar to Sanderson's endearing characters with their flaws. This series is filled with pirates, science fiction like elements, old-school magic elements, empires, monks, assassin elements as much more. It sounds like all of the best parts of fantasy smacked into one, which in a way it is, however the story-line and progression of each character, whilst also developing an ongoing story-line of vengeance was really entertaining. I love this series.
