Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The line on all those map lines Fun and fascinating book - and an interesting look at the strange history of US State borders (is there a global equivalent looking at national borders??) That said, sometimes the narrative is a little hard to follow, and the cross referencing between states gets a little confusing at times. #plumreview

Editorial Reviews

“A fascinating and wonderfully entertaining account of an often-overlooked oddity of America’s history: how the jigsaw-puzzle layout of the United States emerged. I never thought a book on geography could be funny, but Mark Stein has pulled it off.”
