about

I see LONDON,
I see FRANCE,
I see Sydney’s underpants.

Nineteen-year-old Sydney has the perfect summer mapped out. She’s spending the next four and a half weeks traveling through Europe with her childhood best friend, Leela. Their plans include Eiffel-Tower selfies, eating cocco gelato, and making out with très hot strangers. Her plans do not include Leela’s cheating ex-boyfriend showing up on the flight to London, falling for the cheating ex-boyfriend’s très hot friend, monitoring her mother’s spiraling mental health via texts, or feeling like the rope in a friendship tug-of-war.

In this hilarious and unforgettable adventure, New York Times bestselling author Sarah Mlynowski tells the story of a girl learning to navigate secret romances, thorny relationships, and the London Tube. As Sydney zigzags through Amsterdam, Switzerland, Italy, and France, she must learn when to hold on, when to keep moving, and when to jump into the Riviera . . . wearing only her polka-dot underpants.

Sarah Mlynowski was born on January 4, 1977 in Montreal, Canada. She attended McGill University where she graduated with a degree in English Literature. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this! If there's one major thing that I felt about this book, it's that my travel itch is strong after this one! Adventure after adventure had me feeling like I was there with them the whole time. Their friendship is one that you can relate to and know that you'll always rely on!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Interesting premise but poor execution I wanted so much to like this but it just didn't work for me. The characters were supposed to be older teens that are talking about drinking and drugs yet they were written in such a juvenile way. Other than the part when they're in London, I didn't even find this book very in depth in any kind of "travel" aspects. A lot of the other cities featured things people would know about the city without even looking it up. The characters were annoying and entitled, seemingly ignorant about other countries and cultures while on a trip they supposedly planned a long time for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect summer read! Enjoyed this read very much, even for an old fart like me! Three of us went to Paris last year and even though we didn't hook up like the girls here, the bitching and complaining was still there :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect if you gave the travel bug. I am about to go on a Eurotrip myself, so reading this light book was great! Excellent story, excellent writing. I actually learned a lot about the places I will be visiting next month! Great read, I can't wait to check out more from this author!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute summer romance? Check. Cute boys? Check. I See London, I See France is a cute summer read! Sydney and her best friend Leela are off to Europe for a month! Only, so is Leela’s cheating ex-boyfriend and his really hot friend that Sydney may or may not want to know more about. On top of that, Sydney is also trying to make sure that her agoraphobic mother will be all right without Sydney being around to help for the first time in seven years. Despite these issues, Sydney is determined to have the best summer ever as she travels through London, Amsterdam, Paris, Switzerland, Belgium, Southern France and Italy. If you’re looking for a cute, quick summer read, this one’s a hit!
