Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ice Hunt Interesting scenario augmented by plausible theories. However, the novel is severely negatively impacted by the author "scrambling" to add yet another obstacle for the characters. It then becomes laughable when suspense was the desired outcome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Fun Ride I have read most of James Rollins' books and he has written some outstanding novels. Ice hunt is definitely a fun-filled ride with lots of action and drama, as is usual for James Rollins. This is an entertaining story for people who like fast-paced, smart stories. While Mr.Rollins would go on to write much better books, this is definitely a good read. You always get your money's worth reading his books.
