“Lippman’s taut, mesmerizing, and exceptionally smart drama of predator and prey is at once unusually sensitive and utterly compelling.
Booklist

Laura Lippman, New York Times bestselling author of What the Dead Know, Life Sentences, and the acclaimed Tess Monaghan p.i. series, delivers a stunning stand-alone novel that explores the lasting effects on lives touched by crime. With I’d Know You Anywhere, Lippman—master of mystery and psychological suspense, winner of every major literary prize given for crime fiction, including the Edgar®, Agatha, and Nero Wolfe Awards—tells a gripping and richly textured tale of a young woman whose life dangerously entwines once again with a man on Death Row who had kidnapped her when she was a teenager. This is superior mystery writing in the vein of Kate Atkinson.

Since Laura Lippman's debut in 1997, she has been heralded for thoughtful, timely crime novels set in her beloved hometown of Baltimore. Now a perennialNew York Timesbestseller, she lives in Baltimore and New Orleans with her family.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'd Know You Anywhere I love Laura Lippman's books, and this is not exception.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Book Not my favourite of Laura Lippman's, but still good. Maybe it is because I had a hard time liking the main character.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Enjoyed This One A very interesting novel that focuses on abduction and how people get on with their lives. Eliza is an interesting character, even if she is a subservient type of person. The ending isn't a crazy twist, but it does provide closure. This is the first novel I've read of Lippman's and I rather enjoyed her writing style.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Entertaining A quick read, entertaining but not complex.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'd Know you Anywhere An interesting book that examines how a persons past traumatic experience can impact them in the future. It was a book I really wanted to keep reading but I found the climax to be pretty nonexistent.
