Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super well written stories that should definitely be read! These two books are definitely worth a read! I really like how the author separated these two books because in all honesty, they could have been merged into one. However, due to the fact of their being two books, it adds to the suspense of what will happen next and there are two dramatic ending now due to the two books. It also allows the author to go in details in each book about what happens, about how it affects the main character and other characters around her and for us to really understand what is going on in the novels due to the many details provided to us to help us better understand the content written. These books are full of suspense, love, family, loss, and so much more. Worth a read!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from MEh I recived this as a gift, my grandmother purchased this becasue of all the hype it was getting after the movie, I feel like it had more potentail. (Although you should keep in mind that I do not particularly like any sort of book based soeley around romance) It was just a dead book (no pun intended) nothing interesting ever happened beyond the crash, I was so dissapionted I never even got to starting the second book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I couldn't put either books down I got this series for a Christmas gift and it is one of my favourites, i finished both books in less than a week and cried, laughed and was mad at it multiple times throughout both. Very good read for young adults/teenagers

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good If I stay was really good and really gripping. I finished it in four days, and I found it quite hard to put down. Where She Went was a little harder to get through. I kept losing interest and it didn't have the same pizazz as If I Stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Where She Went I preferred the first book over the second one. I grew very attached to the characters. One of my favourite young adult story. Although, I would recommend to all ages!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only if it's on sale bought the box set when it was on sale and with some plum points. Otherwise, I wouldn't really buy them. The second book was definitely better than the first, but it's a typical young adult novel and nothing really stood out. It was a happy ending as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Read! I'm quite surprised at all of the negative comments. I loved the series. I mostly enjoyed watching the characters grow and constantly find their way back to each other. Drama-filled and addictive. Loved it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could Have Been Better Overall, these books were good but could have been better. The idea/ concept was different and made the first book an enjoyable read.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting and different If I Stay is definitely narrated from a different perspective and had a different way of including a "ghost". Although it had an abrupt ending, I guess it was unexpected to a certain extent. However, I believe that more details should have been added to wrap up the story. Also, reading the summary for the second book will give away the first one and the book is much better than the movie.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I thought this would be a good book after the hype about it? I bought this and wish I didn't. The story was boring and oh-so-predictable. ~~spoiler alert~~ at the part when Mia was in the car crash up until she got to the hospital was exciting-but the rest was dull. She went on about annoying typical teenage girl things like "ohmygosh but but but like if I die, like, my super awesome boyfriend will be so mad!" And that kind of stuff... I really want my money back on this. If you're curious to read this, get it from the library. You can tell that Mia's going to live. The book did not need a sequel. I have read like half of where she went, and I could NOT finish it. Read something like 'the mortal instruments' or 'the infernal devices' or a classic like 'to kill a mocking bird' even a book like 'between shades of gray' pretty much anything else. BOTTOM LINE: do not waste your money on this!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Story but... The story lines of these two books are beautiful and will capture. With that said, the author spent about half of each book is spent on backstory, which can be frustrating when you just want to know what's happening in the present part of the book. Both endings were also abrupt, and felt like more time should have been spent on them. Reading the description of the second book also spoils the end of the first book. Overall, two wonderful, heartfelt stories, but too much back story and abrupt endings.
