about

In the epic conclusion to the Falling Kingdoms series, sworn enemies must become allies as they fight to save Mytica.

Jonas continues to willfully defy his destiny, but the consequences of plotting his own course are drastic. As the fight for Mytica rages on, he must decide just how much more he's willing to sacrifice.

Lucia knows there's something special about her daughter and she'll do anything to protect her, even if that means facing Kyan alone.

Amara is called back home to Kraeshia. Grandma Cortas has her own plans for Mytica's future. She promises Amara  power, revenge, and dominance if she agrees to be part of her scheme.

Magnus and Cleo's love will be put to the ultimate test. Dark magic is causing widespread destruction throughout the kingdom. Enemies across the sea are advancing. And unrest is stirring throughout the land. Is their love strong enough to withstand the outside forces tearing them apart?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Conclusion It's been a while since I read the last book but I really enjoyed the storylines being wrapped up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok It was okay but the first few novels were better. By the time the final two books came out, there was too much magic involved. When characters die for the third or fourth time and keep getting resurrected, it gets boring. The first few novels had less magic in them but more action. All the bad people die and everyone lives. How boring! You knew that when a ‘good’ character died, they would be resurrected with magic. Okay series but loses steam toward the end.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great concluding novel A great conclusion to the series but I had grown out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Emotional Finale Whew, what an ending! I was surprised at how the final story played out, and was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. It seemed like the story flew by, with more betrayals, unlikely alliances, sacrifices, hardships, romance, and magic. There was a lot more depth to Amara's character, which I enjoyed even though I despise her. Magnus and Cleo's relationship finally connected with me, and I truly enjoyed the conflict between Jonas and Lucia, and the best romance: Nic and Ashur! The action was riveting and pulse-pounding, though I thought the ending happened really quickly. It also had a surprise twist which didn't have me screaming at the pages, so that's a definite plus! This was a great ending to a great story, and I'm glad I experienced it. A definite recommend to lovers of YA Fantasy, Game of Thrones, and opposites attracting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic end to my favourite series This was another amazing book by Morgan Rhodes! It perfectly wrapped up the Falling Kingdoms series and left me feeling very happy and very satisfied. My only complaint is that it was only 390 pages, and I would have loved another few hundred! I highly recommend this book as well as this entire series, the world building and character development is some of the best I have seen in high fantasy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Wonderful Ending to A Spectacular Series ^^ I received Immortal Reign last night, and flew through the book, finishing it this morning, and I must say, I absolutely loved it! :)<3 While the conclusion was kind of rushed, it was still very satisfying: every conflict, and mystery was resolved in the end--even ones that I hadn't given much thought to. ^^ In fact, it actually left me even MORE intrigued to see the ending of the prequel series since hints of it appeared in VERY surprising places (!!!) throughout this book. xD As a whole though, I think this series was absolutely amazing for so many different reasons. First, the characters: Cleo, Magnus, Nic, and Felix remained my favourite characters from beginning to end; they were all so incredibly well-written, and I loved seeing their growth, and interactions with the other characters over the course of the series. *O* I also really love how Rhodes seamlessly connected everything together--the various perspectives from very different characters who originally didn't even know each other, and, all the different stories set in this world--to tell the story; it was incredibly done, and makes you want to reread the series over, and over again just to catch all the little hints, and foreshadowing! :D Last, but not least, I loved the different themes this series touched upon, and how they were carried on throughout the entire story, up until the very end. The Falling Kingdom series was a story about love, in all its different forms, and redemption; it showed that no one, and nothing is truly, and entirely good, or evil--that good people can make bad choices, or that people can do bad things with good intentions--and that people can always change if they choose to. It gave the characters so much more depth, and made the story all the more interesting to read~ U_U So, yes, I am a liiiiittle disappointed in the book, but I still loved it, and thought it was a beautiful conclusion to a wonderful series. :D<3<3 9.5/10 would recommend. ^^ Now I'm just going to sit, and wait for the next book in the Story of Spirits and Thieves series... and probably reread everything (again) in the meantime~! xD One last thing (SPOILER!!!): LONG MAY CLEO & MAGNUS REIGN! :D:D:D<3<3<3<3
