He's silent - but his touch speaks louder than words.

At first sight, Savannah is drawn to the harsh appeal of a man who refuses to talk to her. Keenan's hard stare is arrogant and unapologetic. The quirk of his sensuous lips is cocky and in control.

But there's more. There's something deeper he's trying to hide behind those steely grey eyes - a slight hint of vulnerability which captures her intrigue.

She'd been warned, told that his silence hides a myriad of lies capable of affecting her career and relationships with loved ones. Only she can't help herself. Testing Keenan's defenses is an addiction she can't deny.

Falling in lust is easy. Learning his secrets comes with a price. The cost? Her broken heart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This book is ridiculously AMAZING. This book is ridiculously AMAZING. First of all, Eden is BRILLIANT. How do you write a romance novel without the sweet yet boringly cliché nothings the hero always seems to utter? Don't let the guy talk! This nonverbal element added SO much to the book. It was truly a stroke of genius and I loved it. I LOVED IT!!! Different, refreshing, new, WOW!!! Okay and let's talk heat index: Off. The. Charts. Everything these two did was not only SO steamy, but it was the true affection that was mixed in with the infatuation or lust that made the interactions hot on an emotional AND physical level. Savannah cracked me up at times. She's so REAL, and when she first tries to interact with Keenan, some of the quips just have me chuckle out loud. And Keenan. Talk about INTENSE. Everything he did was just so, "I want this and I'm not taking 'no' for an answer." YES. And holy secrets. Keenan had several huge ones looming and I just could not wait to find out what they were and how Savannah would react to discovering them! This was one of those books that I stayed up WAY too late reading and finished in record time (for me). I couldn't put it down, and I will forever read ANYTHING written by Eden Summers! ***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Passionate story INARTICULATE by Eden Summers is a stand alone, romance story line focusing on hotel PR consultant Savannah Hamilton, and Keenan Black. Told from dual third person perspectives (Savannah and Keenan) using present day and alternating time lines, INARTICULATE follows Savannah Hamilton on an emotional and heartbreaking journey when our heroine discovers that silence covers too many secrets and lies. When the Rydel Hotel empire for which Savannah works struggles with the upcoming sale of some property to another hotel chain in her home town of Seattle Washington, our heroine is assigned to micro-manage the staff as employee morale begins to spiral out of control. Savannah returns to Seattle with a bit of a chip on her shoulder as it pertains to the past, and some preconceived notions about the man with whom she will fall in love. Meeting Keenan Black, her cousin’s friend and possible FwB, throws all of Savannah’s caution to the wind as his silence draws our heroine like a moth to a flame. What ensues is a building but potentially forbidden relationship between Keenan and Savannah, a relationship that falters not once, but twice when Keenan’s secrets begin to unravel. Keenan Black doesn’t speak and in this his silence is designed to protect more than his heart. Keenan’s backstory is a mystery to our heroine and yet, his entire life is an open book to Savannah’s cousins Dominic and Penny who know there is more to the man than Savannah could ever imagine. Secrets, deceit and betrayal, will force our heroine to walk away when everything about her relationship with Keenan Black is based on more than one lie. There is great sexual chemistry between our leading couple; touch and expressions can convey more than words. The romance is intimate, intense and emotional but there are some undisclosed secrets that Keenan refuses to acknowledge, keeping the reader and the heroine in the dark. Keenan is a charismatic character whose persona is strong and intriguing. The majority of the storyline is told through Savannah’s third person perspective. Keenan’s thoughts and desires are expressed through touch and facial expressions but we also get an insight into his emotions through some emails and texts. There is also the potential for a love triangle building throughout the story, another conceivable conflict that could destroy Savannah’s heart. Too many obstacles including work related issues, simmering family dysfunction, and heartbreak and betrayal spread our heroine’s life in too many directions. INARTICULATE has a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Savannah’s cousins Penelope and Dominic Augustine, and their mother aunt Michelle. Dom is one of Keenan’s best friends, and Penny is a woman determined to keep Keenan for herself. We are introduced to several hotel employees, as well as Savannah’s boss Mr. Rydel, and Spencer, her one time FwB, and the boss’s son. Keenan’s father is difficult at best and I was hoping for some more insight to the father and son relationship dynamic. I am hoping for a future story line for both Penny and Dom. INARTICULATE is a passionate story line; a look at one man struggling with his own personal demons, and a woman consumed by the silence and secrets. The premise is inventive; the characters are animated, colorful and flawed; the romance is fated, emotional and moving.
