A #1 New York Times Bestseller -- NYPD Lt. Eve Dallas hunts for the killer of a seemingly ordinary history teacher - and uncovers some extraordinary surprises. Craig Foster's death devastated his young wife, who'd sent him to work that day with a lovingly packed lunch. It shocked his colleagues at the private school, too. It's Eve's job to sort it out - and discover why someone would have done this to a man who seemed so inoffensive and innocent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Innocent in Death Two 10-year old girls at the Sarah Child Academy discover the body of Craig Foster, a popular history teacher. He was poisoned with ricin. Foster had absolutely no enemies. He was liked by staff, students and parents. Dallas has to really puzzle this one out to find out who could have possibly wanted Foster dead. An ex-girlfriend of Roarke's shows up. Dallas detects a wistfulness from Roarke and feels their relationship go off kilter. Another great book in the series, after 24 books and still going strong. This murder was a chilling one and the trouble between Dallas and her hotter then hot husband was sad but felt so real.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another success Another great book by Nora Roberts. Another ending that you would have never guessed. However, I didn't like the part about jealousy and the involvement of the extra person in their life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing book. This book kept me on my toes while reading it. With all the twist and turns through out the book it was really enjoyable. JD Robb keeps the best for the end and don't find out who did what until the end; the best ending for a book.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More fun fare from J.D. Robb When you read J.D. Robb, if you’re anything like me, you’re reading for the clever dialogue, the fantastic array of fun (and sarcastic) supporting characters, and the absolute joy of reading our heroine, the incredibly un-girly Eve, continue to negotiate the land of marriage and friendship (where she’s stunned to learn you have to give presents the first time you visit a baby, for instance). The mystery – a teacher killed in a school where it seems everyone liked him, but where everyone also seems to have something to hide – almost didn’t register on my radar while I read the book, since I was just enjoying the snappy conversations and word play between the characters. As always, Robb delivers a fun, engaging book, with enough sizzle and spark to keep you going long after you should have gone to bed. Deep it may not be, but it's fun.
