Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Happened To Nancy Very sad!! It was an amazing book, i cant believe a young girl had to go thro that!! It really teaches young women to trust who they are with and that sex isnt everything!!! I never knew how it felt to go thro aids or HIV but now i do, and its scary!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Happened To Nancy Rocks!!! This is the 2nd best book I have ever read, second only to Go Ask Alice, also edited by Beatrice Sparks (another absolute must read). It Happened To Nancy is one of the only books that I have ever read that I have actually enjoyed!!! I am not a big reader but I did finish this book in a week. Let me tell you is you are, ever have been, or ever will be a teenager you NEED to read this book. There's just no two ways about it!!! It was a great book and when I got to the end I honestly did NOT want it to end. I wanted it to continue on forever. It was sooo good that I would stay up literally to 2 or 3 in to morning reading it. It's guaranteed that you'll love it too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing It's hard for a book to catch my attention and this one caught it right when I started to read. I also found it educational because it teaches you just how easy it is to catch diseases and that it had information on HIV at the back of the book.

From Our Editors

This is an actual story about a terrible loss of life. Nancy contracted HIV after being date-raped. She subsequently died from AIDS. It Happened to Nancy is her journal, full of the hope and heartbreak of a 14-year-old girl. Her life had only just begun. This overwhelming document of the potential darkness of our age took shape under Beatrice Sparks, of Go Ask Alice and Annie’s Baby fame.

Editorial Reviews

“I Love Nancy, I love her still, and hope you will not only love Nancy but appreciate her decision to make her most private thoughts and experiences public, in the hope of helping you better understand AIDS.” (Doctor B)
