Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great book! A number of these "confidence" "presence" type books are American, which I find to be too aggressive for the Canadian marketplace. Hewlett is a Brit but has also worked extensively in the U.S. and her viewpoint is more balanced, particularly for the Canadian marketplace. I learned more from this book than most of the others.

Editorial Reviews

Turner provides specific, actionable advice on hiring and mentoring new personnel... She offers her counsel in a breezy, anecdotal style that avoids business jargon or didactic proselytizing. Overall, this is a clearly written, sensible response to human resource issues that every company inevitably faces.

An excellent resource for anyone tasked with the professional management of others.
