Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a Flute of Sparkling, Pink Champagne Isabelle Laflèche's much awaited sequel to "J'Adore New York" appropriately titled "J'Adore Paris" is like a flute of sparkling, pink champagne. Ms. Laflèche doesn't disappoint her readers with this grown-up girl's fantasy, chock full of romance, intrigue, humour and ... Paris! We join Catherine Lambert and her assistant extraordinaire, Rikash, in Paris. Catherine has landed her dream job working for Dior as an "intellectual property director". It sounds like a lofty post but one of Catherine's first assignments is to participate in a raid on counterfeiters selling fake designer items. She and Rikash immediately become Public Enemy Number One and Two in the international counterfeit world. Besides mingling with the underworld, Catherine tries to keep her romantic relationship alive, avoid her mother's criticism, help an under-age model, and all this, in designer prêt à porter. Just when things seem to be going very badly for Catherine, her past comes calling. She has to travel back to New York to face some demons. We get to touch base with some of the memorable characters from "J'Adore New York". This well-researched page turner kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. About the end of the book ... all I can say is that I can't wait to read about what's in store for Catherine Lambert in the future!
