Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands (the others being Guernsey, Sark and Alderney). The island, which lies off the northern coast of France is not a part of the United Kingdom and is also not a member of the European Union (although the free trade of goods within the EU is allowed). The official name of the island is the Bailiwick of Jersey and it is part of the ancient Duchy of Normandy.  This idyllic island is perhaps best known for the Jersey Cow, the actress Lilly Langtry and the Bergerac television series from the 1980s.   TABLE OF CONTENTS:  Welcome to Jersey - Culture - Jersey Map - Location & Orientation - Climate & When to Visit - Sightseeing Highlights - Mont Orgueil Castle - Jersey War Tunnels - La Hougue Bie Museum - Durrell Wildlife Park - Hamptonne Country Life Museum - Living Legend Village - Elizabeth Castle - Jersey Sea Safaris - St Brelade’s Bay & Fisherman's Chapel - Channel Islands Military Museum - aMaizin!
