Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sad to see the Pattersons go, but enjoyed their farewell This is the final book in the 'For Better or For Worse' collection, and it really is quite sad to see the Pattersons exit. Still, Lynn Johnston does an amazing job of bringing things full circle - Michael and Deanna are now at the point Elly and John were at when the strip began - parents of two children, trying to make their lives move without overmuch hassle, and looking ahead at a whole world full of tomorrow. Patterson delivers a fond farewell to most of the characters, and uses Elizabeth to really say goodbye to the series; and then Patterson delivers a "what they all did" full page panel at the very end to let you know the Pattersons did what they've always done: lived, for better or for worse, a life of love for each other, their extended friends and family, and all their companions along the way. I was, of course, particularly pleased at the quick shout-out Lynn Patterson gave to Lawrence's ability to get married: thanks, Lynn! Lawrence was a wonderful character and meant the world to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't wait to read it! It's the last in Lynn's series. I loved how she wraped things up. Finally Elizabeth and Anthony are together, and Mike and Dee are busy with their family and April's growing up as Elly and John well...grow older. It's sad that her work has come to an end. It's one of those stories that keeps you following these characters year after year. We'll miss you Lynn, and we'll miss the Pattersons. Thanks for memories!
