about

National Book Award finalist Julie Anne Peters delivers a moving, modern classic love story with a "coming out" theme--now with a fresh, redesigned cover!

With a steady boyfriend, the position of Student Council President, and a chance to go to an Ivy League college, high school life is just fine for Holland Jaeger.

At least, it seems to be.

But when Cece Goddard comes to school, everything changes. Cece and Holland have undeniable feelings for each other, but how will others react to their developing relationship?

This moving love story between two girls is for fans of Nancy Garden's classic young adult coming out novel, Annie on My Mind. With her characteristic humor and breezy style, Peters has captured the compelling emotions of young love.
Julie Anne Peters is the critically acclaimed author of Define "Normal," Between Mom and Jo, Far from Xanadu, and Luna, a National Book Award Finalist.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ultimate Lesbian Love Story I have read this book so many times and I still love it to pieces. There are no unnecessary words; it is beautifully written. By far the most genuine of any of Julie Anne Peter's books for young adults. In fact, I was very disappointed in her other works- they just couldn't come close to the quality and feeling of Keeping You A Secret. Every time I pick it up I can get completely lost in the story and I never want it to end! It gave me a fresh look at lesbian relationships; I felt like it was me. I definitely recommend this book: it was the most beautiful and real love story I've ever read. I am really surprised that it was on a list for 10-12 year olds! Yeah right!! It's written for older teens; I don't think youngins would get it.
