The first definite action of the College after the declaration of war. Was the organization of Red Cross courses in Hygiene and First Aid. For the girls, and for the boys, the establishment of military drill. About two hundred and fifty diplomas were granted in the Red Cross courses. Are indebted for the success of this undertaking to the many doctors and trained nurses of Topeka who gave their time and services to conduct the lecture work and demonstration.
