about

Kieran is meant to be the ultimate level-three Shareem, unthinking and sexually driven, without much emotion and personal thought. Now that he’s free of the experimenters who tortured him, he feels as though he’s two people—the Kieran who struggles to fit in even with other Shareem, and the Kieran who can become the commanding level three at the touch of a woman’s hand.

Kieran is the one sent to scope out the transports that might take Shareem away from their restricted life for good, but that plan goes awry when he stumbles across Felice, who is fleeing from a life of slavery to Bor Narga.

Felice stirs the level three in him, but Kieran responds to her as Kieran as well, finding in her a woman who understands him better than he understands himself. Kieran jeopardizes the safety and freedom of all Shareem by pausing to help Felice, but he also jeopardizes his heart, which was supposed to have been stripped of all deeper emotion.

Book 7 in Tales of the Shareem. This is a full-length novel, twenty chapters.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I Liked It <b>"Kieran" by Allyson James. Book 7 in the Tales of the Shareem series.</b> I liked this book. Personally, I don't think it was as good as all the others, but still a pretty good book. A sci-fi erotica romance about a level three Shareem named Kieran and a human woman from Old Earth named Felice. Kieran is a Shareem but he's not like the others. Of all of them, Kieran has the least amount of feelings because of what genetic engineers at DNAmo did to him to make him the "perfect" sex toy. He may not understand all the feelings he's having toward Felice but he's not stupid. He knows something is happening between them because he's following his programming like he's supposed to. He can't stop thinking about her and he never wants to let her go. Felice can't believe she's finally escaped from servitude. But now she's a wanted woman with a price on her head. The last thing she expected was to be hiding out with a man she just met. The sexual attraction between them is undeniable. When she learns what Kieran really is and what him and his friends are going through, she has to help him. Even if it means leaving him. This book ends the overall series story arc of the Shareem trying to leave Bor Narga. No new Shareem are introduced but we are told more do exist. I found this book more on the romantic side than the erotic side. Still erotic with m/f sex (no menages) and bondage play but not as erotic as the previous books. I gave this book 3 stars but the last 25% of the book I would give 4 stars because it was very exciting and action packed. I know that there is one more novella after this book (it's actually a prequel to the series about two characters that were introduced during the series) and I'm not sure if there will be any more Shareem tales. I've read the author said possibly. Well, if there are more books to this series, I will definitely be reading them. I really enjoyed this series as a whole.
